Terms of use

Last updated 7th November 2026 (Europe/London).

Who we are

Golf Day Caddy is a UK service for running golf days, including charity, fundraising, corporate and society days. It is being built by a commercial airline pilot.

These terms cover use of the Golf Day Caddy website, event sites and organiser tools.

The service

Clubs and organisers run their own golf days on Golf Day Caddy. They set packages, take booking requests, manage sponsors, a shop, a food cart, scoring and a volunteer rota.

Golfers, sponsors and volunteers do not need an account. Only the club team and the platform owner sign in.

A public request for a tee time is a request. The organising committee confirms it. It is not an instant booking.

Accounts

Organiser and other club-team logins use an email address and a password. An organiser can also turn on an authenticator app, or be asked to use one.

The platform owner signs in on the admin host with a password and then a hardware security key once one is registered. Until a key is registered, the owner uses an authenticator app after the password.

You must keep your login details safe and tell us if you think they have been misused.

What organisers are responsible for

The organiser of a golf day is responsible for that event: the details they publish, the personal data they collect, the logos and photos they upload, and how they treat golfers, sponsors and volunteers.

A golf day may include juniors. We do not verify anyone’s age. Organisers are responsible for what they collect about children and young people, and for following the law that applies to their event.

Alcohol on the food cart is offered only where the venue holds the appropriate licence. Age checks are the venue’s and the organiser’s responsibility. The app can ask the person ordering to confirm they meet the age requirement. That is not an identity check.

Payments

Clubs connect their own Stripe account through Stripe Connect. Charges go directly to that account. Golf Day Caddy never takes an application fee and never holds the money.

Card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by Golf Day Caddy. If Stripe is not connected, golfers are asked to pay the club treasurer instead.

On the day

The public food cart, live leaderboard and score submission stay closed until midnight UK time on the event date. They then stay open. A section the organiser has turned off stays off.

Golf Day Caddy does not include Beat the Bookie or any other gambling.

On the food cart, the item price is separate from any donation.

Emails

If email sending is configured, booking emails can be sent from a no-reply address with Reply-To set to the organiser. Replies go to the organiser, not to a Golf Day Caddy inbox.

Acceptable use

Use the service only to run or take part in a genuine golf day. Do not try to break, overload or misuse the site, and do not collect other people’s data from it without a good reason.

Availability

We aim to keep the service working, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may change or improve features over time.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change when we do.

How to contact us

Contact details will be added when the owner email is set up.
